VLC.Media.Player.MMS.Plugin.Buffer.Overflow
Description
This indicates an attack attempt to exploit a Buffer Overflow vulnerability in VideoLan VLC Media Player.
The vulnerability is due to a lack of boundary check condition in the application when the MMS plugin application parses an overly long hostname. As a result, an attacker can trick an unsuspecting user into visiting a malicious webpage and execute arbitrary code within the context of the application.
