Fortinet Discovers Autodesk DWG TrueView Buffer Over-Read Vulnerability

Summary

Fortinet's FortiGuard Labs has discovered a buffer over-read vulnerability in Autodesk DWG TrueView.


Autodesk DWG TrueView is a free multimedia software that allows users to view AutoCAD and other DWG files. Users can measure & print drawings and convert files between AutoCAD formats. It is particularly useful for architects, engineers, and construction professionals.


A buffer over-read vulnerability has been discovered in Autodesk DWG Trueview by FortiGuard Labs. The vulnerability is caused by a crafted DWG file which causes a memory corruption. It could allow malicious users to create sensitive information leak scenarios.
