Fortinet Discovers Corel PDF Fusion Heap Memory Corruption Vulnerability
Summary
Fortinet's FortiGuard Labs has discovered a Memory Corruption vulnerability in Corel PDF Fusion.
Corel PDF Fusion is a commercial all-in-one PDF creator by Corel, that lets you to assemble, edit and create PDFs. Users can take pages from multiple files, including documents, spreadsheets and presentations, and combine them into a single PDF to share with anyone. Users can add new text, bookmarks and comments. Users can also convert files to PDF, PDF/A, XPS and DOC formats. It supports more than 100 different file types.
A memory corruption vulnerability has been discovered in Corel PDF Fusion. The vulnerability is caused by a crafted "PDF" file which causes an out-of-bounds memory access. It could allow malicious users to create remote code execution scenarios.
