Fortinet Discovers Schneider Electric Modicon Embedded HTTP Server Out-Of-Bounds Read Vulnerability
Summary
Fortinet's FortiGuard Labs has discovered an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in Schneider Electric Modicon products.
The Modicon PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) control and monitor industrial operations in a sustainable, flexible, efficient and protected way.
An out-of-bounds read vulnerability exists which could cause a segmentation fault or a buffer overflow by uploading a specially crafted file on the controller over FTP.
Solutions
FortiGuard Labs released the following FortiGate IPS signature which covers this specific vulnerability:Schneider.Electric.Modicon.Web.Server.Memory.Corruption
