Fortinet Discovers IBM i2 Analyst's Notebook Memory Corruption Vulnerability

IBM i2 Analyst's Notebook arms analysts with multidimensional visual analysis capabilities so that they can quickly uncover hidden connections and patterns in data.


A memory corruption vulnerability has been discovered in IBM i2 Analyst's Notebook by FortiGuard Labs. The vulnerability exists because the application fails to handle a crafted "ANB" file which causes an out-of-bounds memory access. It could allow malicious users to create code execution scenarios.
