Fortinet Discovers Linksys SMART Router Information Disclosure Vulnerability
Fortinet's FortiGuard Labs has discovered an information disclosure vulnerability in Linksys EA7500 Smart router.
The Linksys MAX-STREAM AC1900 EA7500 is one of the Linksys Smart router line up introduced in 2015. The router features MU-MIMO, the latest advance toward uninterrupted, simultaneous WiFi connections., it also features cloud management capability.
Linksys EA7500 router is vulnerable to information disclosure vulnerability. Unauthenticated users can gain sensitive information of the victims' networks.
Users should apply the solution provided by Linksys .
Fortinet reported the vulnerability to Linksys on June 8, 2018.
Linksys confirmed the vulnerability on June 20, 2018.
Linksys published advisory about the patch on October 8, 2018.
This vulnerability was discovered by Tony Loi of Fortinet's FortiGuard Labs.
