Fortinet Discovers RealNetworks RealPlayer Vulnerability


Fortinet's FortiGuard Labs has discovered a heap overflow vulnerability in RealNetworks RealPlayer.


FortiGuard Labs released the following FortiGate IPS signature which covers this specific vulnerability:

Released Mar 20, 2013
Users should upgrade RealPlayer to the latest version.

Additional Information

This heap overflow vulnerability can be triggered by opening a malformed mp4 file.It may allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on the affected system.
