W32/Kryptik.Y!tr detects some programs that pretend to be antivirus software. When executed, it displays a graphical user interface that claims to scan the system for malicious files and falsely detects non-malicious files as infected. It then prevents legitimate files from running and prompts the user to purchase registration for the software.
