Description

This indicates a possible attack against a Command Injection vulnerability in VACRON Network Video Recorder.
The vulnerability is due to insufficient sanitizing of user supplied inputs in the application when parsing HTTP requests. A remote attacker may be able to exploit this to execute arbitrary code within the context of the application, via a crafted HTTP request.

FortiGuard Labs observed actively targeted video surveillance systems which may be without any available patches. Some of the attack attempts were peaked to as much as 50,000 IPS devices in the month of April 2023.
