- W32/Cutwail.K!tr is a trojan that is known to perform one or more of the following actions:
- It may download and execute arbitrary files.
- It injects its code to system process such as svchost.exe.
- It modifies ndis.sys as its stealth mechanism: This file is detected as W32/NtRootkit.AD!tr.
- It is known to send spam and phishing emails.
- It drops the following files:
- %System%\reader_s.exe
- C:\Documents and Settings\%Username%\reader_s.exe
- It addes the following registry entries:
