Arbitrary Code Execution Vulnerability in Microsoft Windows WMF Handling 2005.December.28 Fortinet advises that its FortiGate security appliances, FortiMail antispam appliances and FortiClient Host Security software protect against the "0-day" Microsoft Windows Metafile Vulnerability, a vulnerability in the Graphics Rendering Engine that could allow code execution upon viewing a malicious file. Multiple versions of Microsoft Windows were reported to be vulnerable. Any application that displays or renders WMF files by calling the API of SHIMGVW.DLL is vulnerable, including Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and Outlook.
